The merriment began with an interactive session wherein students were enlightened about the importance of these festivals by the Principal. Students and staff further gathered around the bornfire. They had a gala time as they tapped their feet on Punjabi songs. They also showcased their innovative and artistic sides by making kites in vibrant and glittering colours. Various Indian Traditional Games such as Sitoliya, Lattu, Kite flying and Kite Decoration/ Making and many more were organised for the children to keep them connected with their Indian roots. Last but not the least they shared gajak, peanuts, popcorn and rewri as a way of paying gratitude to nature’s bounty.

was held at Morning Star School on 6th December 2022. The students of Grade 1-5 participated in the competition.
The objective behind the competition was to inculcate healthy food habits and awareness regarding the choice of food among the children.
The participants' creativity was revealed through the beautiful designs and patterns formed with different mouthwatering salad. The students displayed different types of both vegetable and fruit salad. The main focus of the competition was not only the preparation of salads but also their artistic presentation.
Cleanliness, safety, taste and presentation were the basic parameters for the judgement. The students were judged by Principal Mrs. Bhanu Sahni.
The Incharge teachers for “ Fireless Cooking” were Ms Neeraj Bhadouria, Ms Suman Choudhary & for “Green Salad &Fruit Salad Decoration Competition” was Ms Rajni Pal. All three were the overall CCA activity incharge for conducting these type of activities.
The event not only provided a platform for the students to foster their creativity
and decision making skills but also helped them explore their hidden talents and
discover new areas of interest.

and yummy delicacies using their creative bent of mind. Food items displayed were a visual treat and were
presented in an artistic and aesthetic style. Dishes were judged on nutrition and
tasted by esteemed judges. They interacted with the budding chefs to find out the ingredients of the
recipes and nutritional value of the dishes prepared by them.
